TRENDnet TEG-10GECTX 10 Gigabit PCIe LAN Card
The TRENDnet TEG-10GECTX 10 Gigabit PCIe LAN Card is a high-speed networking solution designed for desktop computers, workstations, servers, and other systems that require faster wired network connectivity.
The adapter converts an available PCI Express 3.0 x4 slot into a 10 Gigabit RJ45 Ethernet port. It supports multiple connection speeds, including 10Gbps, 5Gbps, 2.5Gbps, 1Gbps, and 100Mbps, allowing it to work with different network environments and existing Ethernet equipment.
For 10Gbps connections, the adapter supports 10GBASE-T, while NBASE-T support provides 2.5Gbps and 5Gbps connectivity. Depending on the cable type, 10Gbps networking can reach up to 55 meters using Cat6 cable or up to 100 meters using Cat6A cable.
The TEG-10GECTX also supports jumbo frames up to 16KB, which can help improve network performance during large data transfers. Additional networking features include IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging, 802.3ad LACP, Receive-Side Scaling (RSS), checksum offloading, and MSI support.
Both standard and low-profile brackets are included, allowing the card to be installed in different desktop PC chassis. LED indicators provide information about network link speed and activity.
The current V4 version supports Windows and Windows Server, while earlier hardware revisions offered additional Linux and virtualization support. Since the TEG-10GECTX has multiple hardware revisions, customers should verify the exact version and operating-system compatibility before purchase.
